Emu Point Jetty, Albany
When Charles Wentworth ran aground in Oyster Harbour in 1815, he realised the navigational charts needed upgrading. In doing so he named the area after his ship "The Emu". Emu Point is the perfect seaside spot. It offers the white sandy beach with a lively beachside vibe. This image was created on Minang Boodja.
The Emu Point Jetty image was in a series of four which gained a Top 10 placement in the landscape category of Australasia’s Top Emerging Photographer competition in 2022. It was also gained a highly commended in The Mono Awards - places category, 2021. It recently gained two silver accolades in the black and white Refocus Awards, in the Aerial and Minimalism categories.
