Head On Photo Festival 2024
I’m very excited to announce that one of my images has made it to the finals of the Head On Festival.
Finalist’s images are exhibited at Bondi Pavilion Gallery and outdoors in Paddington and Bondi Beach. From 9 Nov – 1 Dec: Featured Program exhibitions are open to the public.
Arty Adventures
I had a brilliant weekend away engaging with so many amazing artists in the Margaret River Region Open Studios event. 144 amazing artists featured in this year’s event – from painters to potters and printmakers, milliners to mosaicists, timber craftspeople to textile creators and illustrators to installation artists. It was wonderful to see so much diverse and inspiring work.
September Update…
September has been a busy month, with my work being featured in the upcoming 39th Perth National Photographic Exhibition and the Canning Art Awards. I was also really thrilled with two honourable mentions in the 2024 Minimalist Photography Awards (International) and two Silver and one Silver + awards in the 2024 Ilford Orloff Awards.
Shire of Kulin - Landscape Shoot
I recently wrapped up a fantastic photography job in the stunning Shire of Kulin on Nyaki-Nyaki Country. Rain showers resulted in dramatic light and a variety of cloud formations, which added an extra layer of beauty to the landscapes. It was also wonderful to see seeding in full swing.

Orloff Awards Finalist
I am very excited to be an aerial finalist in the Environment category of the very first Ilford Orloff Awards. This new pro photography competition was specifically designed for Western Australian photographers. I was absolutely thrilled to achieve a Silver+ and three Silver awards, gaining entry into the finals. A huge thank you to Pro Photography WA for their amazing efforts in creating the competition, organising three awesome speakers at the post judging seminar and for hosting the upcoming Awards Night.

I am excited to announce that my image, ‘Tree of Life’ was selected by composer Leah Clarke at the Royal College of Music, London to be part of the Head On + RCM concert. Talented composers created entirely new compositions inspired by images from the 2022 Head On Photo Awards. Leah’s musical composition ‘Beginning, Middle & End’ is performed by Sara Belic on violin and Alina Maries-Reim on cello.
Four Features In One Day!
Four features in one day……its not quite the Crowded House hit, but I am thrilled. Today the stars aligned and four of my images were featured in posts from various Instagram profiles. I am very excited to have been shortlisted in the Global Photo Awards. A big thank you and shout out to Camera House, Wild Photo Awards and The Guardian.
Vale Richard Woldendorp
Vale Richard Wolendorp. Richard passed away at the age of 96 in early April this year. He was a true powerhouse and pioneer in the fine art aerial photography world. His visual exploration of Western Australia highlighted our State’s diverse beauty in a time before drones.

Chevron Tower Shoot for BG&E
It was great to explore the Elizabeth Quay Precinct during a recent shoot of the completed Chevron Tower for BG&E.
The Oculus was a particularly dynamic design feature. The three-story circular opening through the podium allowing natural light penetration into many of the amenities including the childcare, gym, restaurants and Chevron reception.

Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year
I'm really excited to be traveling to Adelaide in a couple of weeks for the 2022 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition opening and awards night. My ‘Tree of Life’ image is a finalist in the botanical category. The competition received a record 2,443 photographs entered by 602 photographers from 10 countries this year.
