Natural Landscape Book, Volume 2

A very special package arrived in the mail today. I was very humbled to have one of my images published in the book, 'Natural Landscapes' and I had been anticipating its arrival. The book came about as a part of the Natural Landscape Photography Awards. It's an honor to be included among such stunning photography from around the world, showcasing the beauty and diversity of our planet's landscapes. To have my image alongside those of mountains, deserts, rivers, and oceans is very exciting. NLPA is a competition for digital and film photographers who value realism in their images and edit with this in mind. While other competitions may allow complete freedom in digital manipulation, this competition is for photographers who choose to work within the more traditional bounds of the medium, while still expressing themselves creatively. It addresses the idea that the unique quality photography has over other artistic mediums is its grounding in reality. The competition showcases the skill of these photographers in revealing the wonder of the natural landscape. The rules of the competition are a little stricter to ensure that the images entered adhere to this philosophy.
